Kate Cavanaugh leads team to victory in all-star elimination game.

Who says baseball is for boys?

player Kate Cavanaugh, of proved those who believe the sport is meant only for males wrong when she hit a home run during a tournament elimination game on July 7, according to the Ask the Ump blog. Her three-run home run helped win the game for the team.

According to Ask the Ump, Cavanaugh, who played for the league's softball and baseball teams, was picked by her coaches to play in both 2012 All-Star 12U tournaments. But because of the little league rules, she was forced to pick between the two sports.

Cavanaugh chose baseball and in the July 7 game against Clifton National, when the game was tied at 3 in the fifth inning, Cavanaugh led her team to victory.
