Super Bowl Champs: BBYC Squad Honored By BOE, Council

Undefeated squad will have signs hung in their honor at entrance of Bloomingdale Borough.

As if the Bloomingdale Butler Youth Club (BBYC) A Squad football team could ever forget their successes over the past year's undefeated season, a reminder of the team's 2012 Super Bowl win will be hung at the entrances of the Borough of Bloomingdale after Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy presented the players with plaques Tuesday night.

The squad won its division Super Bowl in November after the Bulldogs crushed the West Milford team, 26-8. The local team had a 10-0 record at the end of the season.

It has been a week of celebration for the team as the youth fooball players and cheerleaders were honored by the Butler Board of Education during a special presentation Monday night. The Borough of Bloomingdale also honored the squad during the borough council's meeting Tuesday.
