Boys Hockey Falls in Season Opener

Welcome to Colts Roundup, a new column inspired by the daily email chain of Athletic Director Scott Rosenberg.

What is Colts Roundup? Exactly what it sounds like-a roundup of Colts games for the day and scores from the previous day's games with links to articles from local news outlets, including ours, all from the desk of Kinnelon High School Athletic Director Scott Rosenberg. Each day, we will bring you the Colts Roundup so that you can consider cheering on the Colts at upcoming games or check up on scores from the previous day or night.

On Thursday, the Kinnelon boys ice hockey team lost to Morris Hills, 4-3, in its first action of the season. For some pictures from the game, click here.

Coming Up This Weekend

Friday:

• Junior varsity ice hockey vs. Indian Hills, 10 p.m. at The Ice Vault.

Saturday:

• Varsity ice hockey vs. Chatham, 2 p.m. at Skylands.
• Pope John Invitational Swimming Tournament at Kittatinny High School, 9 a.m.

Schedules and Notifications: 

• You can access schedules at www.nwjerseyac.com (click on the Kinnelon High School link on the right). A Parent/Community Guide for the program will allow fans to get customized schedules, receive text and/or email alerts and reminders, download schedules directly to your smart phone and/or personal calendar and more.

• We now use the rSchoolToday™ Activity Scheduler from rSchoolToday as our School Calendar as it provides significant advantages to our school community. Because it is web-based, we can provide you instant access to the most up-to-date information at all times. All changes are reflected instantly to you as soon as they are made. Here are some of the key features:
  • Click on any date within the month and see the activities for that day.
  • Jump to any month in one click.
  • Locations can be links that open to printable maps and directions to that location.
  • Notify Me! You can set yourself up for automatic email reminders or text messages to your cell phone before any activity or with any changes to any schedules.
  • The latest rosters and scores can be available right from these calendar tabs.
  • You can subscribe to schedules using RSS. This lets you push every day’s events to your smart phone or personal calendar.
  • You can get detailed reports by location, by gender, by level, etc. from the Advanced View.
  • You can get the latest complete schedules for any activity. Click on the schedule you want and then click "View".

Teen Safe Driving Program 

• Our coaches have partnered with the NJSIAA and the Teen Save Driving Coalition to spread the word on the dangers of too many teenagers in the same car and will be discussing this information with their student-athletes. We encourage you to do the same at home.
