The Butler football team has rumbled to a 7-1 record, locking up a No. 2 seed for the upcoming North 1, Group I tournament and an opening round matchup with Independence Division rival Pequannock, at home on Friday at 7 p.m.
Led by quarterback Chris Heredia and running back Mike Tenned, –which includes 59-26 regular season thrashing over the Golden Panthers in Week 3.
Defensively, Butler has also been impressive, locking up two shutout victories, while allowing opposing offenses to an 18-point per game average.

If Butler advances past Pequannock, they’ll get set to face the winner of Glen Rock (3) vs. Cresskill (6) in round two.
