Fall Rec Field Hockey Registration Open in Bloomingdale and Butler

Bloomingdale and Butler children in grades four through eight can now register for the fall recreation field hockey season.

The Bloomingdale Recreation Department is accepting sign-ups for all Bloomingdale and Butler children in grades four through eight for the fall season.

The team is for instructional and advanced players, the recreation department said on its website.

The season runs from Tuesday, Aug. 27 to Saturday, Nov. 2. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. but days and time are subject to change. Games will be held on Saturdays at Martha B. Day School in Bloomingdale.

There is a $90 fee, which includes a $70 check made out to Bloomingdale Rec and $20 in cash for referee fees.

  • eye goggles
  • shin guards
  • cleats
  • mouth guard

“It is recommended that each player has her own stick and ball, if not one will be provided for the season,” the recreation department stated.
