Kinnelon Coach Among NJFCA 'Coaches of the Year'

Butler player named to association's Super 100 team.

Kinnelon High School head football coach Kevin White was named the New Jersey Football Coaches Association North 1 Coach of the Year according to The Star-Ledger's high school sports football blog.

White was named along with four other coaches during the association's annual post-season banquet, with Elizabeth coach John Quinn being named the overall coach of the year.

At the end of 2012, White led the Colts to victory against New Milford in the North 1, Group 2 State Championship game. The Kinnelon team won the game 26-14, capturing their first state championship title in the more than 50 years of the high school football program.

In addition to honoring the coaches, Butler Bulldogs player Chris Heredia was named to the NJFCA Super 100 team, the Star-Ledger reported. The Super 100 is a team consisting of standout senior players from throughout the state.
