Spadaccini Injured, Bulldog Boys Fall

Girls basketball loses in final.

Tom Przetak drained four shots from beyond the arc for a team-high 15 points and Marc Przetak finished with 13 points to help the Montville boys basketball team cruise to its fifth consecutive win of the season with a 60-47 over Butler on Thursday in the final of the Butler Holiday Tournament in Butler.

An injury to Butler’s leading scorer James Spadaccini in the first quarter helped Montville in the tourney finals, as Spadaccini was rendering him scoreless for the first time this season.

But the real story on Wednesday was the three Mustang players to post double-digit scoring efforts and the seven Montville scorers. In addition to the Przetak’s combined 28 points, Montville saw Danny Weiss finish with 10 points and Matt Cohen with eight.
