Spadaccini Nets 23 to Lead Bulldogs

Girls basketball advances in tourney.

James Spadaccini’s game high 23 points led the Butler boys basketball team past Pompton Lakes, 62-43, in the semifinals of the Bulldog Holiday Bash Tournament in Butler.

Butler never trailed in this semifinal round matchup and headed into halftime leading 34-19, on their way to the blowout win.

Michael McConville netted 13 points and Billy White added nine points for Butler (3-1), while Larry Gelok finished with 16 points for Pompton Lakes (1-2).

Girls Advance in Tournament

Mikayla Mulligan had 22 points and Maja Sekulovska scored 14 to lead Butler past West Milford, 52-23, in the first round of the Butler Tournament in Butler, according to NJ.com.
