State Champ Banner to Be Hung By Colts Friday

Football players to unveil first state title banner during basketball game.

The Kinnelon Colts varsity football team will proudly hang their state championship banner-the first the school's football program has ever received-in the gymnasium Friday.

Kinnelon High School Athletic Director Scott Rosenberg said the players, coaches, fans and school community will have a banner-raising ceremony at half-time of the girls basketball game around 7:30 p.m.

The Colts snagged their first state championship title in December after defeating New Milford 26-14 at Kean University. The team had five interceptions in the game.
