Plans Set for 2013 Tri-Boro Memorial Day Parade

Event honors local man killed while serving in Afghanistan.

The Tri-Boro will strike up the band Monday, May 27, to pay tribute to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The annual Memorial Day parade, which travels through Bloomingdale, Butler and Kinnelon, promises to be a red, white and blue show of remembrance and high spirits.

The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. in Bloomingdale, travel into Butler, where a solemn service will be held and then move to the Kinnelon Borough Municipal Hall, where another service will be held in honor of U.S. Army Specialist Jonathan Batista, who was killed in action last year while serving in Afghanistan.
