Drug Awareness Forum, Charity Events This Week
Here's what's happening this week in the tri-boro.
Here are few things going in the Tri-Boro area this week that you may find on Patch this week.
- Local law enforcement and education officials will discuss the latest drug trends among teenagers at a special meeting at Kinnelon High School on Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Parents will be briefed on only on what the trends are but how they can spot them and how to talk to their children about the dangers of using drugs and alcohol.
- Robert Schermer, director of the Morris Regional Public Health Partnership, will give a presentation about the federal Affordable Healthcare Act, or Obamacare, at the Kinnelon library on Thrusday at 7 p.m. Call the library at 973-838-1321 to register.
- The Kinnelon High School girls volleyball team will host a Zumba fundraising activity at the school on Friday at 7 p.m. For more information contact coach Finke at finkes@kinnelon.org.
- The Women of Smoke Rise will hold a charitable comedy night. Proceeds will be donated to the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad. Tickets cost $65.
