Since Lowe's opened the huge Butler store in the mid 2000's, we have found it to be an excellent addition to our town.. Not only is Lowe's perhaps our largest taxpayer but the company is very community minded donating to various causes; before it opened Lowe's paid for the restoration of the historic bandstand in the Butler Park next to the police station which dates from the 1890's. No longer do we have to travel out of town to buy major appliances, several of which were need urgently with Lowe's delivering them the next morning not making us wait days or a week like some other vendors.
