The following is an obituary from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home in Cliffside Park for Stephen L. Lenge, of Kinnelon. Lenge, Stephen L. on May 13, 2012 of Kinnelon, NJ, age 56. Stephen was born on November 24,1955 in Dumont, N.J. He was the owner of Things From England in Cliffside Park and was also a stagehand with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local #642. Beloved husband to Angelica (nee) Koundouriotis. Devoted father to Chrystina Lenge and Stephanie Lenge. Cherished son to Victoria (nee) Zappulla Lenge. A memorial and mass will be held in honor of Vic Ahlefeld, of Kinnelon, Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Magnificat Chapel in Kinnelon. Ahlefeld passed away in Florida on April 3. Ahlefeld is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia, and loving daughters Margaret Stouffer, Karen Crines, son-in-law James, devoted son Victor and daughter-in-law Katharine. He leaves six grandchildren Kaitlin, Sean, Ian, Shane, Greta and Victor Patrick. Ahlefeld was a 42-year “life” member of Tri-Boro First Aid Squad. A Gold Cross Ceremony at the Chapel will be conducted by the squad. Following the services, a repast for all will be held at the squad headquarters, 51 Morse Ave, Butler. McCormick remembered as a good neighbor and kind man.
After days of searching for a missing man, Bloomingdale police said they located the body of 35-year-old Kevin McCormick more than 150 yards from the shoreline of Glenwild Lake Tuesday afternoon. McCormick appears to have died from an accidental drowning, police said. Just minutes after police made the announcement, family members and friends of McCormick began to offer condolences to his family on Tri-Boro Patch and share memories of his life. "Our hearts go out to the family. Our whole community is mourning one of our own," Kit Emory, a Bloomingdale resident, said. The following was submitted by Kevin McCormick's family members and friends in his memory. As of Wednesday, services have not yet been arranged for McCormick. Kevin was born in Trevose, PA, on September 19, 1976 and his family moved to Hamilton, NJ, in 1983. When he was in second grade, he told his mom he wanted to play hockey and began a lifelong love of the game. He served as goalie for the Mercer Chiefs and later at the University of Maryland. He continued to play recreationally as an adult. Upon graduation from the University of Maryland in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in Communications, he began a career in sales. When he joined GlaxoSmithKline, this career took him west to California. Most recently, he worked for GE Healthcare. …

Family members and friends of Omar Monroig, the 42-year-old Butler man who died Sunday about a week after being struck in a hit-and-run in North Bergen on March 24, will be mourning the loss of a loved one this weekend. A wake is being held for Monroig at the Biondi Funeral Home in Nutley on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and a funeral is being held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Newark on Saturday followed by burial at a cemetery in East Hanover. Barbara Wheeler, 40, of Garfield, said Monroig grew up in Newark and that she shared many good memories with the man. Procession arrived at noon Sunday for burial ceremony at Fairview Cemetery. Nearly 100 fans shouted 'We love you, Whitney' as hearse turned into the cemetery.
The vigil at Fairview Cemetery began at first light Sunday morning. There were no mourners, just reporters and photographers mingling congenially as they staked out a good spot for their reports back to the network morning shows or a position for the perfect photo of the funeral procession bringing Whitney Houston to the cemetery for her burial. Officials recall Legislator who acted as model and teacher
One of the last acts Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce performed Monday during a marathon Legislative session was to marshal through the Assembly a bill he co-sponsored that boosted development opportunities and annoyed environmentalists. DeCroce, 75, died Monday after the session that closed out the 214th Legislature. DeCroce, from Parsippany, served in the Assembly since 1989 and was named the his party’s leader there in 2003. His wife, Betty Lou DeCroce, is a deputy commissioner with the Department of Community Affairs. He was a former Morris County freeholder. This story will be updated throughout the day: Local officials and former colleagues expressed shock Tuesday morning after learning Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce (R-Parsippany) collapsed and died suddenly late Monday night at the Statehouse. "I was totally shocked, that was totally unexpected," Butler Mayor Robert Alviene said. "He did what he could for us while he was in power. I'm sure his heart was in the right place all the time for the county here. Im sure he'll be missed." As a result of DeCroce's death, Gov.
