Butler High School hosted its first Alumni Day Friday morning, an event that was designed to bring former students of graduating classes throughout the school's history together. Barbara Fodor, the media specialist at BHS, organized the event, which was held in the BHS library.

Butler High School will be hosting its first Alumni Day next month, designed to bring former students of graduating classes throughout the school's history together at the BHS library. The event will be held Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. Barb Fodor, the media specialist at BHS, is organizing the event for the school. "All alumni are invited to come to the Butler High School Media Center to meet with our current seniors, share their college experiences and visit with our teachers," she said. Butler Public Schools Superintendent Mario Cardinale spoke about the event at this month's board of education meeting and was excited about the concept. "I think it's a great thing to build pride, I think it's a great thing to build community," he said. …

It would be great if in the future there would be more notice and not held around a major holiday, so those who have to travel a great distance would have a better chance of attending!   more ›
