Butler Electric Not Looking to Expand to Neighboring Towns

While many towns have expressed interest in picking up the utility's service, franchise agreements would prevent expansion.

Other towns may want Butler Power & Light service, but they can't have it. At least not right now. When West Milford officials expressed interest in switching service to the utility, also known as Butler Electric, Township Attorney Fred Semrau said the service provider was not interested, according to The Record. Butler Electric was wonderful thru this catastrophe, as always. I watched a crew of 3 trucks work on OLD COW PASTURE LANE on the 4th day. It was like watching a Ballet, about 5 or 6 mem, no shouting , each man knew what to do. Crane up, bucket truck up/down. In about 2 hours tree down, pole back up, neat performance. Please don't expand there is something good about being the right size. Thanks. …   more ›
