Butler Animal Shelter hoping to raise funds for Aero's medical treatment before finding him a home.
If he were a plane, as his name may imply, some would say Aero has a broken wing. Aero, a dog being fostered through the Tri-Boro Animal Welfare Butler Animal Shelter, actually has a broken hip, something shelter volunteers noticed recently as he was not putting weight on his back leg when he walked. Pat Panico, a volunteer at the shelter, said she brought him to the veterinarian for an X-ray and it was determined that he has a hip injury. Two missing hikers who had gotten lost in the woods were found by the Kinnelon Police Department, search and rescue teams and several other local departments, with additional help from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. The Butler Marketplace was canceled for the summer after only a few vendors came forward wanting to participate. Kinnelon High…

Dr. Garro is professional, kind and compassionate, and goes above and beyond for all of her patients. All that she is doing for Aero and the many other shelter animals she has helped during her career comes from her time, her pocket and her love for what she does. Thank you to those who know and admire her, as I do, for speaking out. She is an amazing veterinarian and is doing this out of the …   more ›
