Cops: Woman Drunk When SUV Hit Pole, Flipped

The following information was provided by the Butler Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Newfoundland woman was allegedly drunk when her vehicle struck a utility pole and flipped over early Saturday morning on Kiel Avenue, Butler Police said. Alyssa M. Post, 22, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failing to drive within a single lane. According to a report released Tuesday, Sgt. Robert Findura and Patrolman Scott Sinopoli responded to the accident Saturday at about 2:20 a.m. Post's 2009 Toyota RAV was found overturned after it struck a utility pole, police said. Post showed signs of intoxication, police said. She was transported to Morristown Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Post was released to the hospital, pending a Butler Municipal Court appearance.

Cops: 62-Year-Old Had 10-15 Drinks Before Driving

Woman transported to hospital after her vehicle was struck by alleged drunk driver.

A 62-year-old Kinnelon man allegedly resisted arrest after admitting he had 10 to 15 drinks before driving and crashing into a woman's vehicle, police said. Michael J. Paquet was charged with DWI and resisting arrest and was issued summonses for refusal to submit a breath test, reckless driving, obstructed windshield, unclear plates and failure to exhibit documentation. Police said they responded to the accident scene at the intersection of Kinnelon Road and Maple Lake Road at 10:05 p.m. Upon further investigation of the accident, police said the driver of a 2012 Lexus, a 40-year-old woman, was driving west on Kinnelon Road and slowing down for the traffic light at Maple Lake Road when Paquet, the driver of a 2008 Ford pickup truck, also …

Cops: Drunk Kinnelon Teen Overturns Vehicle

Driver, bleeding from the ear, transported to hospital.

A 19-year-old Kinnelon man was transported to Morristown Hospital with a head injury and charged with DWI Thursday after police said the car he was driving overturned into a creek on The Crossway, in Smoke Rise, around 11 p.m. Gregory Prommel was issued summonses for careless driving, failure to maintain a lane and underage consumption of alcohol, in addition to DWI. Police said he was bleeding around his right ear and was transported by Tri-Boro First Aid Squad to the hospital. Det. Patrick McDonnell said Prommel appeared to be the only person in the vehicle, which had fluid running through it from the creek. Police: Drunk Man Was Walking Down Middle of Main Street

Woman arrested on heroin possession charges after disorderly persons report was filed.

Bloomingdale police arrested a 28-year-old Butler man Friday who was allegedly intoxicated and yelling at cars as he walked down the middle of the road on Main Street around 8:15 p.m. Frank Carlson was charged with a borough ordinance for possession of alcohol on public property. Police said Ptl. David Terpstra located Carlson and he allegedly showed signs of intoxication and was in possession of a bottle of partially consumed alcohol. Carlson was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station. He was later released with a date to appear in court. Cops: Man Found With Pot After Fleeing Crash

Police said driver allegedly struck guardrail in Riverdale before being arrested in Bloomingdale.

A West Milford man was charged with possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) and possession of drug paraphernalia on Sunday after Bloomingdale police said he was found to allegedly be in possession of a small amount of what was believed to be marijuana and items used to ingest it. Christopher Bagarozza, 19, was stopped in the vehicle he was driving near the Samuel R. Donald School after Sgt. Ronald Frost responded to a report of a vehicle that allegedly struck a guardrail in Riverdale and then fled the scene. Upon further investigation, police said Bagarozza allegedly displayed signs of possible use of marijuana and they then found the drugs. Police said Bagarozza was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station. …

Allegedly Sleeping Driver Arrested for DWI

Police said Oak Ridge woman showed signs of intoxication.

A 47-year-old Oak Ridge woman was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and refusal to submit a breath test Saturday after Kinnelon police said a witness had reported her to appear to be sleeping while they followed her from Route 23 South into the Meadtown Shopping Center parking lot. Julie A. Nolan was identified as the driver after Sgt. Christopher Burns arrived on the scene at 4:20 p.m. when police received the report of the allegedly erratic driver of a 2010 Subaru. When Burns spoke to Nolan, police said she allegedly showed signs of intoxication and during field sobriety tests became uncooperative and did not want to complete the tests. Woman Allegedly Drove Intoxicated to Police Station

Police said Pompton Plains woman appeared dazed when picking up report.

A 46-year-old Pompton Plains woman was charged with DWI after police said she was allegedly intoxicated at the Kinnelon police station, where she drove to pick up a police report. Maryann Tchejeyan was issued a summons for DWI after being examined by a drug recognition expert and released to a friend with a date to appear in court. According to police, Tchejeyan was speaking to Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg and during the conversation, he allegedly noticed she appeared in a dazed state and had difficulty standing. Upon further questioning, police said they determined that Tchejeyan had driven to the police station and she was allegedly on several prescription medications but could not remember her dosages. Police Rescue Woman From Car Stuck on Rock Wall

Lincoln Park driver charged with DWI.

A 22-year-old Lincoln Park man was arrested and charged with DWI Friday after police said he was involved in an accident that left a female in the vehicle balancing on a 3-foot high rock wall. The accident occurred around 2:11 a.m. near 9 Boonton Ave. Police said they were able to bring the female out of the car and to safety by tying the vehicle to Ptl. Christopher Mucci’s patrol car, with help from Sgt. Joseph Napoletano. The Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Co. also responded to the scene and stabilized the vehicle, in addition to helping remove the passenger. Police said the man, Matthew G. Fire Dept. Responds to Oven Fire, Man Arrested on DWI Charges

Bloomingdale police said fire was put out before they arrived.

The Bloomingdale Fire Department and Bloomingdale Police Department responded to a call of an oven on fire on Sandra Lane Wednesday at 8:38 p.m.  Once they arrived on the scene, police said the resident had already put the fire out themselves. Also from the Bloomingdale Police Department Forty-five-year-old Eloy Cruz, of Haskell, was arrested on DWI charges Tuesday after police said he was stopped at midnight on Union Avenue. Police said Cruz allegedly displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested and transported to the police station. He was charged with DWI, failure to keep right and for allegedly being an unlicensed driver. He was released to a family member with a summons and his vehicle was impounded.

Boonton Woman Arrested on DWI Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Kinnelon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 52-year-old Boonton woman was arrested on DWI charges Saturday after police said she allegedly was speeding on Boonton Avenue. According to Kinnelon police, Patricia Fleischmann was stopped while driving a 2010 Mazda at 12:37 a.m. for allegedly speeding. While talking to Ptl. Nicholas Cifelli, police said they smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Fleischmann’s breath. Police said Fleischmann allegedly admitted to drinking and was asked to perform several field sobriety tests.
