Kinnelon Football: Cheer on the Colts

Kinnelon is headed to the state championships this weekend. Share your favorite photos of the Colts in action this season.

The Kinnelon Colts football team is headed to the state championship on Saturday to face the No. 1-seeded New Milford team. The game will kick off at Kean University at 1 p.m. as the Colts, seeded No. 6, compete in the North 1 Group 2 state finals. Tri-Boro Patch will be sharing stories about the players and team later this week, but in the meantime, why not cheer your local team on? Kinnelon Soccer Stumbles Against Randolph

Colts lose after close first half in Morris County quarterfinals.

The Kinnelon High School girls soccer team traveled to Randolph for the Morris County Tournament quarterfinal matchup Sunday. After a close first half, the Colts were beaten by Randolph 3-1. The Kinnelon girls soccer team tried to get the ball behind the Ram defense. Using that game plan, the first half had a couple of solid opportunities but they were thwarted by Randolph. The battles for the ball at midfield were split 50/50, with no team taking a dramatic advantage.  Randolph scored the lone goal of the first half. After the break, Randolph put up a second goal, but the Colts refused to quit. The effort finally paid off when Chalen Noble and Ingrid DiClemente drew the goalie and defense to the 35-yard line and blew past them with Ingrid…

Colts Football to Play Mtn. Lakes, Boonton and More This Season

A look at the varsity football schedule for the 2012-13 season.

The Kinnelon High School Colts kicked off the varsity football season last week with a win against Whippany Park, 14-7, according to NorthJersey.com. NorthJersey.com reported wide receiver Connor Villante caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sean Robbins in the fourth quarter, helping solidify the win. There's much more football ahead this season. KHS Grad Named South Region Pitcher of the Year

Today Baseball- state game home vs. Ramsey at 4 p.m. Softball- state game at Westwood at 4:15 p.m. Track will practice inside and outside today. Boys Varsity Lacrosse will practice starting at 3:30 p.m. Yesterday Congratulations to our Boys Lacrosse Team for defeating Bernards.   They now move on to the Group 1 Quarterfinal vs. Glen Ridge at 3 p.m. Thursday.  The game will be played at Watsessing Park Turf Field. Kinnelon Lax Drops County Final to Mountain Lakes

Kinnelon gets behind early to strong Lakers team.

The Kinnelon boys lacrosse team overcame New Jersey's top talent to get to the Morris County tournament final, beating Chatham and Mt. Olive. But they were ultimately defeated by Mountain Lakes on Wednesday. The Lakers scored five goals in the first quarter and put the Colts back on their heels that they never could recover from. IN SHORT Mountain Lakes took only a minute and a half to get on the scoreboard and would score five goals before the Colts would get their first from attacker Brian Gnad. The Lakers would would continue to dominate the action, disrupting the offense and keeping a relentless attack on the Colts.  The Colts were lead by senior Jacob Frankel with two goals.
