Butler Surveillance System Nearly Complete
Superintendent said the district expects system to be up in running within two weeks.
Butler Public Schools Superintendent Mario Cardinale is hopeful that the district's new electronic surveillance system will be fully functional within the next two weeks, allowing district officials to monitor activity within the schools from their computers and remote locations. The district began the project this summer and, through a shared service agreement with the Borough of Butler, will have a full fiber-optic infrastructure in place to help run the surveillance once it is live.
