New Editors Take Over Tri-Boro Patch

But don't be a stranger.

A little more than two years ago, I was sitting at Kinnelon Bagel thinking of ways to explain myself, Patch and highlight my hometown in a single video. A lot has changed since December 15, 2010, when that video was first published. We had a different name then (Kinnelon-Butler Patch), the site has since undergone some design changes, and I couldn't tell you how many times my hair color has been altered. In the past two years, I've learned more about my home community than the 19 years I lived here before college. I've spent time with you, celebrating community events, and worked to bring you information on some of the community's most unexplainable tragedies. Sometimes, I got my hands dirty (or wet) braving flood waters on Bloomingdale's …

International students staying in Kinnelon also makes headlines.

For all 101 years of his life, Laurence "Bud" Benett was part of a family. And for at least 57 of them, he was part of a second one. In response to new data reports released by the state Department of Education this week, superintendents from the Kinnelon and Butler school districts said they found discrepancies in the data. Seven Kinnelon families will be bringing a global experience into their homes this summer when they host international high school students from Spain, China, Italy, Germany and France. While Kinnelon High School fully met its target of academic achievement in the 2011-12 school year, new data released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows the school is lagging behind its school peers in the area. Two developing trends are keeping the Bloomingdale Police Department busy, Police Chief Joseph Borell told the Bloomingdale Council in his annual report on Tuesday evening.
