For this week's fashion question, Tri-boro Patch reader Janet asks: Is there such a thing as too much sparkle on a shirt? Coming from someone who loves sparkles myself, I have to be honest: too many embellishments can really make or break an outfit. When referring to embellishments, I simply mean rhinestones, gems or any art piece that highlights, outlines, is used as a silhouette, a brand logo or is part of a major design on a piece of apparel that designers use in their collections. Designers use these items to compete in the market and to make their brands stand out above the rest, thus creating a trend.
