I totally agree with that statement. I just didn't agree with the previous one. But nothing is going to change. After the last storm where JCP&L said they spent 200 million upgrading, did anyone really follow up with them on that. From what the out of state lineman are saying they didn't spend it on upgrading the equipment out there. Its old, fagile and some parts aren't even made today. Are those things you really want to here about? if they really cared about safety, then the old stuff should have been removed a while ago.

Flooding is totally different than powerless. I feel terrible for everyone who suffers a loss. A utility cannot be equated to a flood situtaion. I have been through both, and both ties my neighbors helped me out. Yes I moved out of the flood area, but at the time, I did have the choice to live there. And I knew at the time it was going to have flood issues and bought anyway. So yes it is a choice. However, I don't have a choice of electric company. It is what it is. Its a totally different thing than moving to an area where theres a choice. I'm sure those in the flood areas are going to jump down on me for this. But it is what it is. People could careless as you put it, about the past, we are living in the TODAY. Is your house flooded? When will you stop looking for pity for something that happened in the past.

Athena was the name of the winter storm. The weather channel is now naming those as well.

SO JCP&L releaded a new "spreadsheet" its fileed with ggggrrrrrreeeeeaaaaaattttttt news. Wayne not only will have zero restored today they will have zero restored tomorrow. And the woman I spoke to on the phone said she isn't even in New Jersey. But she understands the frustrations. The problem is, there really is no place to complain, no place to to et action done. The Govonor can only bitch on TV it isn't helping the situtation. The facts are, JCP&L were unprepared again for a storm, the company is to big and far reaching to have fast response, they have piss poor communication skills, they have no solid information going to the people and they are out of touch with reality. Look if I'm told the power is out to Next Tuesday thats fine, I can figure out a hotel or something, instead I'm strung along with this the power will be back on by Wednesday. Well not in Wayne, they will not be restoring anyone more until Thursday at the earliest. So I guess we are "the hardest hit areas" that they keep speaking of. This company is worthless, but I bet our transmission fees will go up.

According to JCP&L's newest spread zero (0), a total of ZERO customers in Wayne are estimated to be restored today. And this may be a stupid request to the companties, they are giving estimates per day, after that day is finished, why can't they list how many people in each town were restored? I wish we would ahve purchased a home on the PSE&G side of Wayne. I guess its truely time to bite the bullet and have a standby generator installed because its always a week plus to have power restored.

I live on Medford. And out. Atleast I have family to stay with. But every storm jcpl takes forever. I just spoke with their customer service and they are told nothing. They say the majority should have power back by Wednesday but I don't think 23% is a majority. Major use our tax dollars to get it fixed soon.
