About Cheri

Cheri Orlando grew up in Nutley, NJ. She graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in Literature and a teaching certification. She has been teaching Language Arts to middle schoolers for the past 8 years. She also has a master's degree in Library and Information Science, but hasn't worked as a school librarian yet. She lives in Bloomingdale with her husband, George, and her dog, Patch, who is an adorable, energetic Lab/Beagle mix. Cheri loves to hike, cook, swim, read, write, and eat! Also, she is hoping this new venture earns her enough money to go SCUBA diving next summer!

Cheri - Hi I'm Debbie O'Neill (Knolls Rd, Bloomingdale). Loved your column and recipe! I'm sorry for your "downsizing" but you sound like the type of person who turns any situation into an opportunity, so I'm sure you are on your way to amazing experiences! I share your love of reading, and while I do enjoy good literature (Jane Austin among one of my favs), I am also addicted to romantic trash - lol. I went into mourning when our Riverdale Borders closed. Anyway, just wanted to reach out and "welcome" to the Patch!
