Don't they know they old adage, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice....." I am a member of the Planning Board!!! We should require no more truck traffic!!!!!! Haven't they listened to the community at all????

ReplyThis is a tragic, horrific reminder to us all that IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU. I watch as people drive dangerously on the roads, thinking they are immune from tragedy. But we're not. Lives get upended in a flash. My prayers go out to all.

On the article Nearly 7,000 Still Without Power in Bernards

Gary I could not Gree with you more. JCPLs website gives no information. Yet again, PSEG resumes power to their customers faster, and gives out better info. We really need to rise up and make our leaders switch utility companies. JCPL has left us in the dark, literally and figuratively, too many times now.

ReplyJCP&L's "continuously udated" page provides estimates to tomorrow. And as of tomorrow, the majority of Bernards Township will still be without power. That's not much of an "information page."

ReplyI have no issues with the workers of JCP&L, I have spoken with many of them during past storms that left us in the dark for days on end, they hate the "leaders" of JCP&L as much as I do. The executives of JCP&L have shown total incompetence in their handling of this disaster as well as storms in the past few years. PSE&G shows the right way to deal, they get power back so much faster and communicate with their customers. JCP&L (First Energy) needs to be run out of this state. We deserve better.

So proud of the Ridge players -- they were amazing. My young sons had a great time watching "grown-ups" play, and the high school players were certainly looked up to as celebrities. The young man who sang the national anthem did a terrific job, too.
