No, government doesn't and shouldn't work that way. When Obama gets re-elected I really don't wont to hear a republican complain that he got an extra week to campaign.

ReplyFellow moms and dads. This is really easy,,,"Johnny and Katie, you see all those trees on the ground out there, and you know how all the lights are off and we have no heat, well this year we're giving halloween a miss"

ReplyEach dessert place fits a different demographic, for me as a grey haired man, i feel incredibly uncomfortable going into CUPS with the young girls in tank tops. In fact I think the young girls themselves, and the cups logo, feel uncomfortable themselves. #justsaying

ReplyI'm tired of hearing "you can only prepare so much" you know what if I ran my business way I'd be bankrupt. Jcpl and the township should be pooling resources instead they operate in silos. 5 trucks sat on Washington street for 2 hours, that's bad planning. We get 4-5 storms every year, be prepared and get it right. I'm just waiting to see my rates go up again.

ReplyNo power on Ellsworth just a downed tree across electricity cables. No word from anyone about anything. We did see a jcp&l truck but it broke down and had to be towed away.

ReplyWhat does it mean when they say "if they've got powered devices capable of receiving it" ? Does that mean that if you only operate using candles and a stationary bike you are SOL?

When we look at the overall infrastructure. Those overhead cables should be buried so that we don't have to face this again in say 5 years time or so, because you know it will one day. Lets start thinking long term, start putting the cables under the highways and sidewalk instead of overhead, then the next time a tree falls ,,,well do I need to say it. I personally will willingly pay a surcharge for this, another 10% over the next 5-10 ten years to have heat and light, and not have to listen to those freakin home generators.
