ReplySpoke with JCP&L yesterday and today. Yesterday the woman was from PA, today, OH. They know nothing except what they're being fed from the powers that be. All the trucks are gone, drove around
this morning and haven't seen one worker. Nothing. Apparently they feel they're work is done here, even though plenty of us are still without power. This is day 14. -

ReplyMy dad spoke with a JCP&L rep and was told that only JCP&L workers are working 16 hour shifts. The subcontractors they hired only work as many hours as they want. And guess what? The only workers we had around here are subcontractors. So we got screwed. 7:51 Saturday night, still no power on Mohawk behind St. Judes. Tomorrow will be day 14.

ReplyStill no power behind St. Jude's, on Huron, Evergreen, Mohawk, or Oneida. A lineman told my dad this morning all the workers are out of here tomorrow. How are they possibly going to fix all this before then??

ReplyNo one should tell anyone not to complain. Everyone's problems are their own. Hopatcong has not seen ANY improvement; they haven't even started clearing trees. Come on, they had since Tuesday to start! The weather has been fine since then. How much "assessing" do you need to clear trees off the road?? And to whomever said to stop whining about having a cold house, you try having an autoimmune disease that makes you cold all the time and to then have no heat or water in your house and nowhere to go. The high school said pets were allowed in crates and there would be three meals a day; instead people with pets are turned away and all they have to offer is coffee and water. I can complain all I want.

Heather H--Seriously?? Don't tell me that, I'm gonna cry! I thought all the substations were fixed already! Tried to call the both governor's office and the mayor's office; both are closed tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, this is still an emergency, and those offices should be open for us. My office is open, I still have to go to work, and then come home to my cold, dark house that's filling up with dishes and laundry. BTW, I work on 206 in Byram/Stanhope, and after ONE DAY of work, the whole area was restored.
