  • Of the listing Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society

    *****

Millburn is lucky to have this. Great for kids and adults alike to walk around and get a sense of the town's history...which is actually quite interesting. Small, but not to be missed if you live in the area.

A pit...unless you're one of the myriad number of elementary thru middle school kids whose parents drop you off to run around the place on your own for 1.5 hours on a weekend. Can't hold a candle to the Beacon Hill Theater in Summit.

SO sad. This place could be a gem in the area, but the operators are probably paying thru the nose to lease the place and the small kitchen space limit the food selection and quality. That said, the location is ideal for a bar/family restaurant...perhaps as a second location for an established restaurant?

  • Of the listing Enzzo's Trattoria Restaurant

    *****

THE friendliest Italian restaurant in the area...hands down! The owners have been there for more than 10 years and you won't find a better value ie food quality, price, service, price. Perri (the wife/co-owner) knows all repeat customers by name and quickly learns your preferences. Love the fact that the owners live in the area and care about their customers. If you haven't already, consider them for your catering needs. I did and they bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied. You WILL NOT find nicer, friendly restaurant owners in the area, or a better value. And it's byob!

THE best pizza in town (try their buffalo!).

  • Of the listing Can Do Fitness

    **

Best value in the area ie price, facility, staff friendliness, class selection, and access to major roads. That said, the management is pathetic. Been a member there for over 10 years and anyone in a leadership position is either inept or restricted by upper management's policies. The men's bathroom is also disgusting ie I contracted a nasty foot fungus for the first time when I began using the showers, and the steam room and hot tub were absolutely gross. I've also witnessed some weird behavior in the men's room between a few members...stuff that I didn't expect to go on in a suburban fitness center like Can Do. If you want no frills...go to NY Sports Club. If you prefer a higher end place, Equinox is for you.

Design (pool and surrounding area) are LOUSY! That said, so great to have a community pool.

  • Of the listing Joe's American Bar & Grill

    ****

Food is pretty good (great for a mall) as supported by the long lines of shoppers who wait for 30 minutes+ for a table. Probably the best burger in the area, but the bathrooms are pretty nasty (as a previous poster mentioned).

No competition makes this place a 4, but the food and fair ambiance (except by the bar) are a 2. Good beer selections and bar staff, and located smack in the middle of town which makes for a great spot to visit before or after a movie at the theater up the street.

GREAT food, BUT....CRAZY prices. Definitely not a place that I frequent for that very reason. That said, it's a nice place for the occasional treat...or if you don't have time to drive further for a drastically less expensive dessert (that's almost just as good).
