That situation doesn't seem like a mediation team would be of benefit. It sounds like the team is meant for individuals with...I'm not sure what kind of complaint. Yours is with the town itself, an enforce group of homeowners to a town meeting seems the approach to take.

ReplyThe kid needs to be grounded for a year! I'm glad he's being charged. If the police had done nothing and it was true, they'd have been burned at the stake; of course they investigated. What a waste of their time and resources.

ReplyIs it so difficult for you to understand that I am not now nor ever have been demanding details? Do not tell me what name to use and, again, do not lecture me, especially with nonsense. Your username should be "Ignoram-ass." You do not seem to have the capacity to understand what you read--now go away.

ReplyThe mere reporting of her "actions" has made her/them public. I did not say she had to answer for them, I said, again,"one gives up levels of privacy when their actions are made public." That is self-explanatory; if everyone has read it in the news or heard it on TV--it's not private anymore! She was missing: the minute that was reported it became public. It was not private anymore. What part of that do you not get?

ReplyGreenday--you may be well-meaning, but don't lecture me. I don't have a "weary" head and you have no idea whom I call about what, or not. One gives up levels of privacy when their actions are made public. I'm glad she was found alive and not dead and I already said I hope she gets help if she needs it. So back off.

Oh my. I don't think we're entitled, but you put a story out there that people take the time to read, they want to know the ending. If I had a loved one missing under legitimate and/or emergency conditions and public resources were used to find them, and it was reported for all to read, that same public should know why.

All the things Joanne said are right--if it's about an action that breaks a law, call the police. The fence height, parking, etc., should still be taken care of by the town. The mediation team would have no power to enforce a decision, so I don't think complainants would waste their time with it.
