I have emailed Rodney Frelinghuysen and did receive a call back from his Washington, DC office. Supposedly they are putting pressure on JCP&L and are very interested in how JCP&L is handling this recovery. I guess the more people call and complain the better the chances to get rid of JCP&L.

Hi Sloppy,
I also live in Jacob Ford and I did email Rodney Frelinghuysen's office and believe it or not - someone from is Washington DC office did call me back. They told me they are putting pressure on JCP&L. Supposedly they have received A LOT of complaints. Not sure if my email did anything but at least I was able to vent and increase the number of complaints against JCP&L. -

Totally agree with you and contacted my Representative already to get JCP&L out of New Jersey and possibly report them to the BPU. It's the least I was able to do. Let's hope more people in New Jersey contact their respective Representatives and voice their opinion about JCP&L and their incompetence.

ReplyOk, so I am just curious why the timelines that JCP&L had promised are still not communicated anywhere? I think at one point the BPU needs to get involved in this disaster. I am absolutely not mad about the workers out in the field but the corporate tools should really DO THEIR JOB and communicate where (in which county and which section) the workers are currently working and some proper timelines!! I mean the 7-10 day projection started counting on what exact day? That's really a moving target. So yes, I heard next Wednesday MOST customers will have power........well why not lay out on which part of the grid people are on so that we can see and know who should get power next ?? And one more thing - if JCP&L had not moved everything out of the state then obviously they would not have to make such a POINT of mentioning over and over that workers have to come in from out of state to help restore power. Duh!!

ReplyWhat about Washington Ave by Jacob Ford apartments? Last year we were one of the last ones to get power back.

Honestly - I am tired of this. It's your job! You probably get paid overtime on top of that. I am away from my family as well for certain work related meetings. Jesus - all we are asking for is ADEQUATE COMMUNICATION. So far, I have yet to see a list that shows me exactly in which section and which street work is being done. And no, the PDF that was posted is not detailed enough because it still does not tell me if I have power tomorrow, or Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday of their crappy 7-10 day moving target deadline. Pah!
