TR- I visited the Whispering Hills complex this morning- still no power :(
I did see a JCP&L truck behind the Starbucks though. Hopefully, he was just grabbing a cup of coffee before heading out to turn our power on. -

ReplyNo!!!! I will not quit bitchen. We are not complaining about the inevitable natural disaster. We are complaining about the officers, and management of theses big electrical companies (JCP&L in particular) with no organization while people/customers suffer. There is a reason why we pay for this service as opposed to installing electrical lines ourselves. Please don't demean our situation.

ReplyWOW!! Even the restoration plans given by JPC&L are inferior to those given by PSE&G and even ACE. Both PSE&G and ACE give actual a breakdown of the number still without power and date on which those towns should be served as well as an update verifying those areas have been assigned. JCP&L only supply a number.

Exactly TR!! I don't understand it either. Everyone but our complex has power. I was finally able to get a live JCP&L person on the phone. She gave me her theory that we "might" be powered through a different substation.

ReplyWhispering Hills in Warren is still without power as of 11AM Sat. There aren't any down wires or blocking trees in the area. I'm not sure why we're still without power.

ReplyTR- I last checked Friday night and still no power. I too had to re-report my outage. With no gas left in my car to drive, it's extremely difficult to check on the status of my power. So if anyone learns that the complex in Warren behind the PNC bank has power restored, please post here. I'll check periodically.

ReplyI live right across the street from Warren Municipality. Their power has been restored this morning along with the banks and other businesses, but not the apartment complex. I even received an automated VM staring my services "may" have been restored. But nothing. Do they even realize we still have no power? I'm confused and there is no actual human voice at JP&L that can clear this issue up. I can be patient but I hate being left in the dark (literally and figuratively).

There should definitely be a way to get this sort of helpful information to the residents who need it at the time needed. I was one of those without power. I was home with the flu and very worried about what I'd do once nightfall hit. JP&L was not at all helpful.
