ReplyI went to Littleton school as per a flyer titled Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Schools Multi-Purpose Fields Referendum that was mailed to me. Typically I would go to Brooklawn. I get to Littleton and they tell me I should have gone to Brooklawn. I get home and find in the mail the Official Election Mail to go to Brooklawn. Unbelievable.

ReplyThis was the email response I received from Mayor James R. Barberio when I sent an email asking for help:
As originally stated by JCP&L – it could take 7 to 10 days for power restoration. We are at day number 7 and Wed will be day 10. The Mayor is working with the Governor and JCP&L very closely and is on top of the situation. Please understand all of Morris County was devastated by power outages and they are doing as much as they can to get everyone up again.

ReplyI live in the Sedgefield section of town. No power since 6:30 PM Monday. Traffic light at Littleton at Halsey not working as of 7:00 AM this morning. Last night Gulf station there had generator power and was open, saw folks and police waiting this morning.

ReplyThere is alot of frustration because folks haven't seen anything get done yet. I have yet to see a single JCPL truck. When you have little kids in a 56 degree house it's not that easy to be patient.

I would not recommend going thru the barriers, you will get stopped and ticketed. You are not "trappe" up north as you will have no problem going south. The issue will be getting back. There really aren't too many good options. If you are coming from the west I would do 15 to Berkshire Valley to 23. If you are east 23 should be open in a day or two. But if you are south, even knowing the side streets, the options are limited.
This is definately a weird part of 287 where they have three off ramps before they have the next on ramp.

The closure is on 287 north in Boonton. You will not be able to take 287 north from route 80. That is now closed and will be for a while. It's going to be a nightmare coming up with a quick way around as there are not too many good options.

@Paul Smith
The Post Office doesn't pay property taxes, doesn't get ticketed for traffic infractions, doesn't have to follow OSHA guidelines, and many other benefits of being a government set up monopoly.
