ReplyLatest update to the PDF says Hopatcong will have power tomorrow. How can this be in any way accurate?! They haven't even put the poles up on Maxim!

ReplyAmazing how on the same day this article was posted, the latest "update" from JCP&L shows the ENTIRE town having power by tomorrow (Friday) night!!
I want to see REAL numbers!!

ReplyTo say I'm aggravated by JCP&L's slow response in Hopatcong is an understatement. But what annoys me even more is the complete lack of any real information! If I were told that there was a 98% chance I would have power by 11/12, I would be okay with that! But with the way things are, it feels as though I've been thrown into prison without being told how long my sentence is!!

ReplyIts very frustrating to be without power, especially as it gets colder out. I understand there is a LOT of damage out there, but it would bring some comfort to at least get some information from JCP&L as to how they are proceeding. It would be even nicer to see even a few tree crews on just one of the main roads making some progress. I know its going to be a while before we get power back, but its even worse to be in the dark as far as information is concerned.

Weather of other factors? There have been construction vehicles sitting there (on 206 in Byram), with partial construction done for over two years now! I commute through there every day and rarely is any work being done. Someone should put question marks on all the "Road Work" signs.
