ReplyThanks jersey. Was just home, no power. Saw a tree person on beacon but then they still need poles and wires. I'm not holding my breath!

ReplyThere are no crews anywhere near the Califon portion of town which has been forgotten. JCPL just told me "trying" to restore power by tonight. Yeah right. So I guess that means no power....again. And of course no one in town to oversee work gets done because our township offices are closed for the holiday tomorrow. This is unreal! And then to hear the mayor skips town...is he for real when half his town is without power and the school situation is unresolved.

ReplySaw crew on beacon light today. They told me they won't be working the beacon hill (Morris county) portion of the circuit. Got home tonight no activity on the treacherous portion of beacon which still has trees sitting on wires. This crew saw the dangerous and horrible condition of poles hanging across the road but yet the galf blocked riad remains -why is no work being done?!? And now I hear our mayor skipped town? Do I sense a possible recall in his future?

ReplyWhy is JCPL not here! Beacon Hill is a disaster. Who has mayors number to call so maybe he can put some added pressure on JCPL. Sad it's 13 days and still no activity.

ReplyDrive down beacon hill. It's a war zone. Apparently a garbage truck brought a pole down even further. I guess the Mayor and JCP&L don't care about this area. Sad. Called JCP&L and was told a supervisor was in a meeting and couldn't get back to me for 24-48 hours. Completely unacceptable. They don't deserve our money. Oh, and I'm sure they can get their bills out on time to us charging for a service they cant provide. Last storm I was without power but managed to get their bill.

Replyapparently they are not fixing the portion of town that borders hunterdon county. A garbage truck had to get entangled in wires and free himself?!? What is wrong with this picture? Mayor Short stated last storm that he addressed issues with JCP&L; apparently he failed to do this or JCP&L needs to be fined and all of us who are without power should receive a portion of this money. This is the only way they will get their act together!

It is beyond appalling that the beacon hill area is without power and finally after 14 days only a tree person shows up! Our elected officials failed us as did JCPL. I am extremely frustrated and upset and I think we need to be compensated!!!!!!
